TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By enrolling your child at Black Box Drama School, you accept these Terms and Conditions.
The Agreement is made between the parent or guardian of each enrolled pupil and Black Box Drama School, trading as Black Box Drama Ltd.
The Agreement is valid at all times whilst the pupil is enrolled on any Black Box Drama School course or activity, and until such time as written notice is given in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

REGISTRATION
Pupils must be registered, with all required forms completed, before attending any of our classes. We cannot begin teaching a new pupil without collecting essential information relating to medical conditions, emergency contact details, and consent. All data is protected and treated sensitively. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details.

COMMITMENT TO SPRING AND SUMMER TERMS
Pupils enrolling for the Spring term must also commit to participating in the Summer term, as the creation of the play will span both terms. During these terms, pupils will be involved in developing, writing, and rehearsing their play, which culminates in the final performance at the end of the Summer term. Full participation is essential to ensure continuity and the best experience for all pupils involved.

PAYMENT
Once a pupil's registration has been accepted and they have been enrolled onto a course with Black Box Drama School, an invoice for the course fees will be generated. Along with the invoice, you will be provided with details regarding dates, class times, and the venue.
Invoices must be paid within fourteen calendar days of the date they are issued or before the pupil begins their classes with us (whichever comes first).
Failure to settle invoices by the due date could result in your child's place at Black Box Drama being forfeited.

SUMMER SHOWCASE
The cost of the Summer Showcase, including photography and videography, is calculated based on the number of pupils taking part and is therefore variable. Consequently, we are unable to provide a quote for the Summer term until the final pupil roll is confirmed. We endeavour to subsidise these costs wherever possible to make the event accessible for all participants.

CANCELLATIONS
Once a pupil is enrolled on a course and payment is made, we are unable to offer any refunds or cancellation options, including money back for weeks missed due to other engagements, sickness, or injury.
If you wish to cancel your child's place, you must inform us in writing. Once Black Box Drama School is notified of your wish to cancel, we will aim to fill the vacant position with a pupil on our waiting list. If we are able to fill this position, we may offer a partial refund of course fees from the date the replacing pupil begins the course. We are unable to offer any refund of course fees if the vacant space is not filled. From the date a deposit or course fee is paid, you have a fourteen-day Cancellation Period, as noted above; this must be done in writing. After the Cancellation Period expires, the deposit is non-refundable and will be retained by Black Box Drama School.
LATENESS AND ABSENCES
We understand that lateness and absences may occur for a number of reasons; however, it is important that pupils attend as many sessions as possible. As part of the ongoing curriculum, pupils are working towards presenting a play. All of the plays at Black Box Drama School are created, written, directed, and performed by the pupils. Missing sessions makes it more difficult for pupils to keep up with the material, which may result in them feeling worried or lacking confidence in performances. This also places additional pressure on their classmates, so we ask that children minimise missed sessions wherever possible.

UNIFORM
Our sessions involve a significant amount of physical work on the stage floor, so comfortable, loose clothing is required. Pupils should arrive at sessions dressed appropriately, preferably in black. Dresses and skirts are not permitted; instead, pupils should wear trousers, tracksuit bottoms, leggings, or jeans.
Black Box Drama School t-shirts are sized and ordered during a pupil's first session, and once received, pupils are expected to wear them to all sessions. If a pupil is unable to wear their Black Box Drama School t-shirt, they should wear a plain black t-shirt instead.
EXTREME WEATHER OR EVENTS
Should any sessions be cancelled due to extreme weather (such as snow) or exceptional events (such as pandemics), we are unable to refund course fees. In such circumstances, we will continue to run the sessions remotely to ensure the ongoing curriculum is taught and to allow pupils to continue preparing for the final performances at our end-of-year showcases.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Pupils participate in sessions at their own risk and are obliged to inform Black Box Drama School and its staff of any existing injuries or medical conditions.
All application forms must state any known medical conditions, and any changes to such information must be notified to Black Box Drama School immediately in writing. If you are unsure whether a pupil should participate in any activity, please consult the pupil’s GP before enrolling.
Any medication left on the premises where sessions are taught must be clearly labelled, and the pupil should, unless Black Box Drama School has agreed otherwise in writing, be able to administer it themselves.
If a pupil is unwell or has an accident requiring emergency treatment, the parent will be contacted via the emergency contact details provided. This number must always be contactable whilst the pupil is attending any Black Box Drama School activity. Parents are solely responsible for ensuring that the emergency contact details on Black Box Drama School records are up to date.

DAMAGE WAIVER
I acknowledge that in the event my child causes any damage to property or equipment at the school, then as their parent/ carer I will be held accountable for their actions, and accept that I will be liable for any costs to repair or replace the property or equipment that has been damaged.

PERSONAL PROPERTY
Pupils are responsible for taking care of their own belongings. Black Box Drama School cannot accept liability for lost or damaged belongings.

These Terms and Conditions, together with any Confirmation Letter, constitute the entire Agreement between the parties and supersede and extinguish all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations, and understandings between them, whether written or oral, relating to its subject matter. In the event that one or more provisions of the Agreement are found to be unlawful or otherwise unenforceable, those provisions shall be deemed severed from the remainder of the Agreement.
