In September 2023, Black Box Drama School introduced the LAMDA Acting course.

 

LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) is one of the world's most respected drama institutions, offering internationally recognised graded qualifications in performance. The Acting syllabus supports pupils as they develop vocal clarity, physical expression, and character work through the performance of monologues and duologues.

LAMDA exams allow pupils to gain recognised qualifications while developing performance skills. By preparing longer monologues and duologues, pupils learn to explore character, voice, and movement in depth, building on their confidence, discipline, and presentation skills. Each grade recognises a pupils development, with higher levels contributing to UCAS points, making LAMDA both a valuable qualification and an excellent way to grow as a confident, articulate performer.
